The collection consists of one letter dated Philadelphia, January 17, 1837, to Messrs. Blair and Rives, signed "Jabez Jackson
of Georgia." Jackson sent the letter from a Philadelphian hotel where he was resting due to an illness that "keeps me from
my seat in the house." In the letter he requests Blair and Rives to send the "Daily Globe" to the hotel landlord, Mr. John
Sturdivant.
